Troubleshooting
Quick fixes for the most common issues people run into.
Can't find files after watermarking
Watermarked images are saved to your browser's default Downloads folder. Check there first — on most devices it's named “Downloads.”
Processed images appear blank or corrupted
Very large images (especially from iPhone/iOS) can occasionally produce blank output due to browser memory limits. Try resizing the image first, or process fewer images at once.
Slowness, stalling, or freezing
All watermarking happens locally in your browser. If your device is low on memory or battery, processing may slow down. Try a different browser, fewer batched images, or a desktop device.
File size increased unexpectedly
Choosing PNG or maximum quality can produce larger files than the original. For the smallest output, export as WEBP or JPG at 80% quality. Avoid upscaling beyond the original resolution.
HEIC images from iPhone won't open
Mark My Pics supports HEIC, but some older browsers do not. If your HEIC file fails, switch your iPhone camera to “Most Compatible” (Settings → Camera → Formats) so photos save as JPG.
Files were not saved
Check your browser's site settings to make sure downloads are allowed for markmypics.com. Some browsers block automatic downloads after the first file.
Data privacy concerns
We never upload your images. All processing happens on your device. To verify: load the site, disconnect from the internet, then watermark an image — it still works.
Other issues
Try disabling ad blockers (they can interfere with browser APIs), clear your cache, or try a different browser/device. If the problem persists, please send us feedback.
